Hello everyone! My name is Lisa Van Es and I’m originally from Vancouver Island in BC, although for the last 14 years I have made Cairo my home. This will be my 15th year at BCCIS and the people here have become part of my family. When I first arrived I taught Grade 2, and I had the pleasure of watching them proudly walk on stage to receive their Dogwood Diploma. I have taught many different grades of high school English since then and for the last five years, I have been the High School Counsellor. It gives me great pleasure to guide our students on their future path, as well as help them with their social-emotional health. I look forward to another year of building connections with our students, parents, and staff at BCCIS.
